About the Event

Trump, Bolsonaro,  Orbán, Salvini, the AfD, Modi, Duterte... Across the world far right politicians and movements with some connection to fascist and violent nationalist ideology are taking power.

We have seen the brutal results of that in the pogrom in New Delhi last week where Muslims were attacked by right wing Hindu nationalists whilst the police stood by and did nothing.

Now in Britain long term residents are being deported and advisors are being hired by the government who believe in eugenics. Boris Johnson refused to deny whether he believed that black people had a lower IQ than white people. Brexit has strengthed the forces of reaction and nationalism and boosted the Tories who now want to push a arch-conservative racist agenda.

Based on the thesis from the 2018 book Creeping fascism: What it is and how to fight it, Neil Faulkner will give a short introduction to the growth of the far right and their ideas and what the left needs to do now.

We live in dangerous times. Time to Mutiny.
